Load Out Gear

Battle Belt

Battle Belt is a general term for a belt mounted system capable of carrying holsters, pouches, utility items and gear for easy accessibility. They are also a way to organize your gear in a consistent location that is easy to get on and off quickly.

There are three styles of belts that work most effectively:

1)  Cobra Rigger Belt (With Internal Belt):

This configuration is sometimes called a range belt and is used to accommodate minimal gear as a light weight setup.

This styles uses an inner belt with velcro hook that mates to an outer belt that has internal velcro loop. The outer belt consists of a 1.75" Cobra Rigger Belt with holster, pouches, etc. attached via belt mounts, belt loops or belt slides.

The purpose of using an inner and outer belt is that you put the inner belt through your pant belt loops like a typical belt and then the outer belt goes on over the inner belt, held in place by the velcro attachment. This way you do not need to thread the Rigger Belt through your belt loops or take the attached gear on and off each time.

The Cobra buckle is used because it allows the user to get the belt on and off quickly without disrupting the gear on the belt or needing to remove any velcro attachment of the belt.

2)  Operator Belt (With or Without Internal Belt)

An Operator Belt is similar to a Cobra Rigger belt except that the Operators Belt has more flexibility in the gear attachment with the ability to attached to the outside of the belt while maintaining the width of a 1.75" belt. The external attachment consists of 2 rows of MOLLE. This allows the flexibility to use MOLLE clip, belt slide or belt loop attachment. An important consideration is that most MOLLE attached equipment utilizes 3 rows of MOLLE, so not all items will easily attach and other may require special hardware.

This style can include and inner belt with velcro attachment or with internal padding.

3)  Battle Belt

A Battle Belt is a wide reinforced belt with internal padding and external MOLLE connection, typically in 3 rows, however some have areas with 2 rows of MOLLE or 4 rows of MOLLE.

A Cobra Rigger Belt must be used with a Battle Belt, running inside of the Battle Belt between the padding and the external MOLLE.

3 rows of MOLLE provides the greatest adaptability to pouches and gear. This is what makes the Battle Belt the best choice to handle greater weights and additional gear attachments.

High Speed Gear: Laser Slim Grip Padded Belt

This setup is a Battle Belt hybrid with the support and comfort of a traditional Battle Belt but in a slimmer width, more like an Operator Belt.

Holsters, pouches and gear attached in the 2 row MOLLE section get connected with belt mounts or MOLLE clips. Belt Slides will work but requires the belt to be threaded outside of the MOLLE and causes the holster, etc. to stick out away from the belt. This also eliminates placing any gear that requires 3 rows of MOLLE.

The back 4 colums of MOLLE have 3 rows of MOLLE allowing additional gear and pouches to be mounted easily.

High Speed Gear: Laser Sure-Grip Padded Belt

A traditional Battle Belt setup, this belt has 3 rows of MOLLE along the entire length of the belt with 4 rows of MOLLE in the rear of the belt. An internal stiffener make this belt strong enough to support heavy loads. The internal neoprene padding prevents the belt from slipping up and down during use.

Viking Tactics: VTAC Battle Belt

A traditional Battle Belt setup, this belt has 3 rows of MOLLE along the entire length of the belt. It is lightweight and durable while strong enough to support heavy loads. The internal is mesh allowing for good air flow.

G-Code: RTI Mount

The G-Code RTI mounting allows for versatility in the gear you attached to the belt and easy switching between holsters for various firearms. They are available in a straight or 20 degree cant orientation.
